Kulo Games was a Finnish two-people indie game development team that began forming in 2005. The team was mostly active between 2006 and 2008. There were attempts to revitalize the team in the early 2010s but it never took off. Kulo Games is no longer active, but the team wanted to have the old school games still available for download online for nostalgic reasons.

The team released a few freeware games in online forums and small game portals during its active years, mostly to attend underground game creation competitions and to have fun. The team has gone under many handles over the years, such as "Naabi Productions" and "Uniraven Arts" to name a few, finally settling for "Kulo Games" before the team eventually disbanded.

The original hosting sites for the games have gone down, so they've been re-released online at this site (see links above). Before the original hosting sites were down, the games had already been downloaded hundreds of times across sites. The newly released games have been touched up to run better on modern operating systems, and some quality of life improvements such as screen mode selection and gamepad support have been added as well.

All the released games were created with a legacy game engine called CoolBasic. The game engine has since died down, having its final official release in 2005. Despite the engines cool name, the team has very warm memories over the engine and the community surrounding it. Additionally, the Finnish indie game scene at large was a very warm and compact community in the mid-2000s and it deserves a special recognition for pushing us forward.

Time to get nostalgic! Enjoy the blast from the past!
